Jamey has spent the bulk of his 25+ year career in and around private equity– as an entrepreneur, strategy consultant, and investor. He was an early member and Managing Director of Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners (“AIP”), where he served on the global investment and executive committees. Prior to AIP, Jamey was an entrepreneur. In total, he co-founded five businesses, including two marketing automation services companies and a nationally acclaimed gourmet pizza joint. Early in his career, he was a consultant at Bain & Company where he advised companies and their boards on a range of operational, strategic and financial matters. He also did a brief stint at CBS news during the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the Velvet Revolution.
A native Californian, Jamey received his undergraduate degrees (in History and German Lit) with High Honors from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. He has been active in a variety of Social Impact initiatives over the years, most recently spearheading AIP’s launch of a double-bottom line private equity fund-of-funds.
